|Beauty side up How do you like your eggs? How about sparkling, bejeweled and with a side of history? In 1885, an intricately embellished egg-shaped box was commissioned by Czar Alexander III to give to his wife Empress Marie Fedorovna. His wife was so delighted with her gift that Alexander appointed his talented jeweler, a “;goldsmith by special appointment to the Imperial Crown”; and commissioned a total of 50 Imperial Eggs. Of the 50 Imperial Eggs created, 42 have survived. Today, these rare million-dollar eggs have found their way into museums and private collections throughout the world. Such a tradition of artistry and romance deserves a suitable homage. So we’ve commissioned some innovation of our own. Our bejeweled enameled Romanov Egg Pendant Necklace evokes the opulence of the Imperial masterpieces. At once regal and unique, and in line with the royal requirements of Czar Alexander. Delight the empress in your life and surprise her with a little piece of history resplendent in romance.
